Leaving Certificate Maths HL Grinds 2023-2024

John Winters has a huge amount of experience preparing students for the Leaving Certificate exams. He is particularly well known for his ability to simplify complex problems in a way that all students can understand. The students enrolled on the course will draw significantly from John’s 30 years experience in teaching Maths to Leaving Certificate level.

During the course of the year John will look at the entire Maths course to ensure that no stone is uncovered before student sit their exams

Weekly Online Grinds

These grinds take place once per week during the normal academic year and will cover the entire syllabus. All classes are live and interactive and take place over Zoom. Students have the opportunity to ask as many questions as they need to during the classes and may then review the recording until they understand the content completely.

Homework is a key ingredient to your success

Homework is given to ensure that students have a great grasp of the material and this homework is marked by our teacher John Winters. John gives clear feedback to students and their parents so that the students exam technique is meeting the requirements set down by examiners. Practise is everything and the homework given is a vital step towards success in the exams next June.

Every student should develop a system of revision in Maths which includes consistently trying questions throughout the year. Once the techniques become second nature to you, then your ability will grow hugely. Exam papers and trying exam style questions are a vital component when studying. The road to success starts with doing as many questions as you possibly can from the beginning of the year to the end. Effort now pays huge rewards later.

Online Classroom

All classes are recorded and the recordings are posted to our online classroom once the class has been completed. The handwritten notes provided by John Winters during the classes are also posted to the classroom for students to review.

The online classroom is the portal through which all homework is given and then returned by students for correction on completion. This portal is the well from which students gain all information which is critical to their studies.

Sample Class

The following videos demonstrates John’s ability to reinforce techniques in a straightforward way.  This particular video relates to “Patterns & Sequences” which forms an integral part of the first paper. This will give you a very clear picture as to how Maths Masters can bring your learning in Maths to a higher level.

Flexible Timetabling

We all live busy lives and know that some weeks can be different to others. This is the inspiration behind our flexible timetable.

We have THREE different options for Maths LCHL on Monday, Thursday and Saturday and you simply choose a base class. For example, should you enrol on the Monday class and in a particular week you have a family event or maybe an exam , then just attend one of the other two classes in that week. This unique flexibility will give you great peace of mind ensuring that you do not miss a single class.

Live Class Times

To facilitate the many commitments which students have we are offering three different opportunities to attend our live grinds. Each course consists of one grind per week of duration 1hr 15 mins during each week of term time. The classes commence on Monday 11th September and the details of the days and times of the courses are as follows
