The Junior Cycle year is such an important year as it is your first state examination. John Winters will keep this in mind throughout all of the classes and will focus strongly on exam layout and exam technique at all times.

The teacher, John Winters, has over 30 years experience preparing students for exams. John is best known for his simplified view of mathematics and his ability to get his point across to the student. His core belief is that “Maths is a subject which is practised, not studied…” so he has designed hundreds of questions which will form the weekly prescribed homework as well as for general practise.

All classes are LIVE and Interactive. Students are encouraged to ask whatever questions they wish. It is our goal that all students leaving the classes have understood the entirety of the content of the clas

Flexible Timetabling

We all live busy lives and know that some weeks can be different to others. This is the inspiration behind our flexible timetable.

We have THREE different options for Maths JCHL on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. You simply whichever one of the classes suits you best  in any given week. This unique flexibility will give you great peace of mind ensuring that you do not miss a single class.

LIVE Class Times

There are three options available to suit family commitments as much as possible. The times of the Junior Cycle maths grinds are as follows

  • Mondays 5.30 p.m. – 6.45 p.m.
  • Wednesdays 5.30 p.m. – 6.45 p.m.
  • Saturdays 10.30 a.m. – 11.45 a.m.

What do I receive if I enrol?

In addition to the weekly live classes, students attending the course will also receive

 
  • Professionally bound study manuals containing countless examples of techniques required for the Junior Cycle exam.
  • All classes are recorded and the recordings are available for review until the end of June 2024. 
  • Students will sit a mock exam exam, written by John Winters, in May. This will provide invaluable feedback to students as they prepare for the exams in June.
  • John Winters will also hold a live 4hr revision workshop at the end of May which will focus on perfecting exam technique.
  • Free attendance at any revision courses in JC Maths during the course of the year. This includes our well known Christmas, Easter and Final revision courses.
